You cannot learn Jyotiṣa the way most people try to — a folder of videos, a shelf of books, and no way to test any of it.

PlayWatch: how Vedic Astrology is taught here

The principles underneath the sūtras were never in the free material. They come down a lineage, taught in order, corrected in person.

That is what these four programmes are. Each one is built for a specific point in a student’s progress, from a first four weeks to a five-year professional training and a course in reading nations. Start where you actually are, not where you would like to be.

Which programme fits where you are

The subject is the same in all four. What changes is the depth, the pace, and whether you are being taught live.

Fees and enrolment dates can change. Message the helpdesk to confirm before you pay.

Foundation Course

Four weeks · Self-paced

A short, honest first look. Enough to find out whether Jyotiṣa suits the way you think before you commit to anything longer.

  • Fully pre-recorded — begin the day you enrol
  • One full year of access in the Vedic Gurukul portal
  • The roots of Jyotiṣa, its ethics, and how mantras are actually derived
  • The twelve houses, the nine grahas, exaltation and debilitation
  • Your first remedies, taught with the reasoning behind them

Professional Programme

Five years · Taught live

The full training, taught live every Thursday. Over two hundred sessions across five years, with every past class waiting in your portal from the day you join.

  • Live teaching every week, not a library of old recordings
  • Navāṁśa in depth, Ārūḍha Lagna, and the complete set of yogas
  • Vedic remedies matched to a named planet and a named problem
  • Enrol at any point — earlier years are already in your portal
  • Built for people who intend to consult, not only to study

Also available as a single payment of USD 1,899 for the year.

Chanakya Geo-Jyotiṣa

Two years · Taught live

Jyotiṣa applied to nations, leaders and decisions with a clock on them. The timing layer that sits alongside economics, intelligence and negotiation — the way it was originally used.

  • Country charts read against the charts of the people who run them
  • Reasoning built live on situations still on the table, not settled cases
  • Omens, Nimittas, and the timing of agreements and transitions
  • For strategists, serious readers of geopolitics, and future Raj-Jyotiṣīs
  • The natural path towards retained advisory work

Yearly enrolment USD 1,500; standard term USD 2,100.

Per YearUSD 1,500

How these courses are taught

In order, because the method lives in the order

Every programme follows a fixed sequence. A concept is not introduced until the ideas it depends on are already in place, which is why students who follow the path can actually apply what they have learned rather than just recite it.

Ethics first, not as an afterthought

A practitioner is bound by rules — about what to say, when to stay silent, and how a mantra can work against someone if it is applied wrongly. Those rules are taught at the beginning of the Foundation Course, before any predictive technique.

One portal, for the life of your access

Recordings, notes and reference material sit in the Vedic Gurukul portal, indexed so you can find a single lesson again when a real chart raises the question. Recorded programmes are yours to work through at your own pace; live students join the current class with the entire back catalogue already waiting.

Taught by one person

Every session is taught by Kaartik Gor, who was trained in a recognised paramparā before teaching students from more than eighty nationalities. You are learning a lineage, not a compilation.

Learning astrology is not quick

Owning chart software is not the same as being able to read a chart, any more than watching a documentary on rockets lets you build one.

Vedic Astrology asks for study in sequence, first-hand practice, and a teacher who can tell you when your reasoning is wrong. If you are looking for a weekend certificate, this is not where to find one.

Start small if you are not sure

The Foundation Course is priced so that finding out “this is not for me” was still worth doing.

If it turns out the subject suits you, everything you cover there carries directly into the Practitioner Programme and beyond.

How to enrol

  1. Read the individual programme page and decide where you actually sit today
  2. Message the helpdesk with any question the page did not answer
  3. A payment link is sent to you personally
  4. Your Vedic Gurukul portal account is created and access opens
  5. You start straight away — recorded programmes from lesson one, live programmes from the current class with the back catalogue already in your portal

FAQ

No. The Foundation Course assumes you are starting from zero. If you have already studied on your own for years, begin at the Practitioner level instead — the beginner material will only bore you.

The Foundation and Practitioner programmes are fully pre-recorded, so you start the day you enrol and work at your own pace. The Professional and Chanakya programmes are taught live every week, with every past session available in your portal from the moment you join.

It is the single platform every student uses. Your lessons, recordings and course notes sit there, indexed and searchable, for the full length of your access.

One year for the Foundation Course and two years for the Practitioner Programme. Live students keep access for as long as they remain enrolled.

If you are new, start with Foundation. If you have read widely but cannot yet read a chart, start with Practitioner. Nobody should commit to a five-year programme on faith — spend a year first and you will know whether you want to practise at all.

Yes. Every programme is taught in English, with Sanskrit terms explained as they are introduced. Mantras come with audio so the pronunciation is exact.
